Press * to STOP BEEPING. However, it will CONTINUE to beep or restart beeping until the problem's cause is resolved (AC loss, low battery, etc.).
♦ Is there a FLASHING * (STATUS) button on the keypad? Press * (STATUS) button for status information.
♦ P1 on the keypad means Partition 1. This is not a trouble. This is standard on ALL systems.
♦ Is the siren going off? Arm/Disarm system with code.
Example:
In the case of a power failure, the system will beep periodically. To silence the beeping for up to ten hours, enter the code and press the number '1' (OFF). The battery will continue to operate the system in a normal manner for up to 24 hours. Keypad will go blank after about 15 minutes (to conserve battery power).
To clear trouble, and if the cause is corrected; Press 1 + CODE, then again Press 1 + CODE. (TWICE)
Smoke Detectors Reset
Wireless smoke sensors reset themselves automatically, once they are clear of smoke. Some hardwired smoke detectors must be manually reset once they are clear of smoke.
